Mary Marg Helgenberger is an American actor from the United States. She was born on November 16, 1958. Her career began at the beginning of the 1980s. She was first noticed due to her portrayal of Siobhan Ryan on the soap opera daytime Ryan's Hope from 1982 to the year 1986. Her most well-known role is her role as Catherine Willows in the CBS police procedural drama. Crime Scene Investigation (2000-13) and the subsequent TV movie Immortality (2015). The role was reprised in Immortality's subsequent sequel Vegas (2022-present). Helgenberger is also famous for her role as K.C. The actress won an Emmy Award in 1990 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role in the role of Koloski on China Beach, an ABC series China Beach from 1988 to 1991. The actress is also famous for her roles in the TV series Under the Dome and Intelligence and the films Species (1995) Species II (1998) Erin Brockovich (2000) and Mr. Brooks (2007). She is the fourth of her parents' children. McCain was a student at in the Phoenix Country Day School, an all-girls private Catholic school. In 2007, she received her bachelor's degree in art history from Columbia University. In 2017, she was a part of the morning talk-show The View where she co-hosted until 2021 and received 4 Daytime Emmy award nominations for her efforts. Other ventures McCain became a columnist for The Daily Mail newspaper after her three-year stint at The View. McCain has also written four books, including The Story of My Dad John McCain (2008) Dirty Sexy Politics (2010) America You Sexy Bitch : A Love letter to Freedom together with Michael Ian Black (2012) and Bad Republican (2022).
